Objective of this project:
To design and develop an intelligent elevator control system using FPGA technology for smart building applications.
To implement a finite state machine (FSM) that manages floor requests, movement control, and safety features in real time.
To include priority scheduling for faster and more efficient handling of multiple floor requests.
To integrate safety functions such as emergency stop, overload detection, and fire alarm operation.
To add security features like passcode access for restricted or maintenance floors.
To control door operation with an automatic timer for safe passenger entry and exit.
To provide a real-time floor display for showing floor numbers and system status to passengers.
To create a design that can be connected in the future to AI algorithms for predictive scheduling and passenger behavior learning.
To implement the design in Verilog HDL, simulate it in ModelSim, and test it on a Xilinx FPGA board.
To evaluate system performance in terms of speed, scheduling efficiency, and safety accuracy.
